Hesse de Jonge is a photographer inspired by the stories around him. Our webshop features a collection of his dreamy photography prints. 

Hesse: "I’m a photographer with a passion for capturing the untold, often quiet stories of people and places. My inspiration comes from the layers of human experience, the stories people carry with them, and the beauty of details that often may be overlooked. I started photographing at 12, using an old camera my grandfather passed down to me. That camera sparked my love for analog photography and the way it can preserve moments and memories in such an authentic way.

My photography aims to create images that allow people to pause and feel a sense of calmness. My mission is to help viewers find peace in the details they may not have noticed before, to explore those moments of nature, and to daydream with me. My hope is that my photos offer a small escape from the everyday, inviting people into peaceful landscapes or street scenes.

I mostly work with analog methods, often choosing film because of the depth and texture it brings. I love the imperfections of the process, the small surprises in each frame. Each collection is captured by hand, and I offer both digital and darkroom handprints for a tangible, unique connection to each piece.

Looking forward, I hope to connect with more people who enjoy this type of work. I dream of more opportunities to travel, document landscapes, and continue capturing meaningful stories. I’d also love to return to videography, creating moving visuals that capture the same peaceful details.

Each photo has a personal touch, from the way I develop my film to the final print. Every piece is a reflection of my journey and my ongoing research for calm and depth in the world around us."
